It's not entirely clear why a 法杖 helps channel 魔法. Druids would claim that it was because they were working with nature, aligning the 魔法 法术 through the plant's systems. Members of the Wizard's Guild argued that it wasn't that the 木材 itself was special but that they worked as a focus, helping to channel the mind of the wizard.
The inclusion of 符文 essence in a 法杖's design is a testament to the meticulous craftsmanship and artistry involved. This essence, often crushed into a fine powder and dispersed throughout the 木材's careful grooves, creates a magical circulatory system within the 法杖. In this way, the 法杖 becomes a living entity, with the wizard as its beating heart, channelling power through its veins to unleash upon foes.
A 法杖 is rarely helpful for less violent 魔法. They are brute force weapons, where 魔法 is forced into elemental blasts, obliterating the target. More subtle spells rely on the caster's will and are powered directly by their magical 技能.
