With a distinct aroma, 皮革 护甲 became very popular with warriors and hunters, as well as a few villagers, but that’s another story. 皮革, when properly layered and cured, can turn away both the claws of a beast and the blades of an assailant.
Some craftsmen would create more elaborate 护甲, trading functionality for impressive style. With the discovery of anima-twisted plants with vibrant hues, new dyes were crafted, allowing for colourful and eye-catching 护甲. This would prove problematic when attempting to be camouflaged on the hunt. Many a colourful set of 护甲 would be found in tattered shreds in the woods; the owner of the 护甲 lost to the wilds.
